We want service to be a part of our culture here at Mercer County Young Life. We have been presented a unique opportunity to work with Freedom NJ to build out some skateboards and possibly ramps to help with their non-profit. The last day, we will have a ceremony to give out skateboards we built to local kids. Everything will be done with social distance measures & safety protocols. Freedom NJ is a nonprofit that uses skateboarding to teach at-risk youth in the Trenton area valuable life lessons about perseverance, goal-setting, and acceptance!!
A face mask. Clothing & shoes that can get dirty ( and possibly thrown out). On MONDAY, wear WHITE for our Color Wars! Water bottle to stay hydrated as we will be outdoors for most activities. Picnic blanket or beach towel to sit on.
Optional: camera, sunglasses, & a hat
We will also be having a FOOD PANTRY donation collection for a mobile food pantry that is taking place. Any of those items will be collected daily.
